I’ll see you in court

Last thursday evening Sarah and I went and played badminton for an hour at her uni sports hall. We’ve decided to do it every week now as part of a vein attempt at getting healthier. Thanks to Simon’s blog entries with his healthy recipes our diet is already beginning to change, so now it’s on to the sports. I figure we should get into it properly since the rackets cost an arm and a leg (Which is not that great a trade. Have you ever tried to play badminton with an arm and a leg missing?)

So I’ve just been into town in my lunchbreak to look for some decent clothes and accessories. I found a pair of court trainers nice and cheap, but no clothing to my liking and budget. Upon exiting the last shop, the rain began. So having decided to go outside (something I rarely do in my lunch break) and make an attempt at being healthy, I am now tired, wet and sitting in the dark (an engineer has come to test out our emergency lighting – turns out its not that good).

Still, I have got some nice court shoes.

You’re going to play badders in court shoes? You’re brave. Mind your ankles.

no, I only wear those on the weekends. In that case they’re just trainers I guess.
p.s. I only have to worry about my ankle, not ‘ankles’. You clearly weren’t paying attention. tsk.
