Birthday treats

My birthday has now been and gone.
It was a good one though. I started off by having a nice lay in until about 10ish, then Sarah made a packed lunch and we headed off to Devil’s Dyke where we ate the lunch and watch people learning how to parascend. Quite funny watching people of different skill levels, some taking off and flying round and landing at more or less where they started from, others missing the thermals and ending up in the bottom of the valley about a mile from where they started. We could see the pick up car down in the distance collecting those who ended up doen the bottom.
After lunch we went to Chichester where Sarah shopped for jeans in Dorothy Perkins while a market research woman interrogated me about coffee shops despite the fact I don’t drink coffee. We had a game of crazy golf in Bognor Regis before locating our Travel Lodge and then went to Chichester Planetarium where a mad scientist introduced us to the life cycle of a star and showed us what sort of things we could look out for at this time of year.

Incidentally, if you look to the South West this wednesday (21st) at about 23.30 (I think), then you should see something like this:

Venus & Moon Pairing

Saturday morning was spent walking the promenade in Littlehampton followed by lunch in a greasy spoon. It doesn’t get much better than that.
Shoreham airport was the next stop where we relaxed and watched the small planes coming and going for a while, and then we headed for Burgess Hill for ‘a surprise’.

It turned out to be Laser Quest that Sarah had booked for us. I thought it was a great surprise when it turned out the surprise wasn’t over yet and a load of my friends turned up. Sarah had booked out the whole place!
We had about 4 games before the place shut for the day, at which point the guys who worked there said that we could have a lock in and they joined in with us playing after closing time. We all had a great time (Except Abi who it turns out has broken her toe :( get well soon Abi).
To finish the night off, everyone came back to our flat and ate party food and watched Casino Royale with me.

It was a really great birthday and I enjoyed it thouroughly.

My reason for lack of entries of late is that I’ve been doing some design work as a favour for a friend. I’ve not done very much before but I’m really enjoying it and the results seem to be quite good. At least I hope they are. Feel free to tell me if they’re not:

A6 Leaflet Front

777 A6 Leaflet Reverse

Feel free to pop along to the event to if you’re in the area.

I also now have a Flickr Pro account for storing all my photos. My portfolio stuff will all be on there (in sets such as Collection & Design) as well as my personal holiday snaps etc. I got some very nice pictures at a friends wedding recently like this one:

Rob & Ju

The full set is viewable here

And finally, my bro in law has just bought himslef a Macbook and has been making comical videos. Here’s his latest one, you should go and check the rest out on his MySpace

So how have all your weeks been?
(that’s asking each of you about your latest week, not just one of you about every week you’ve ever had, my blog wouldn’t like that big a comment…)
