Sarah was baptised this morning. It was very cool and we had a good morning.
It got me thinking thought that you could create a bit more interest by performing the baptism in the style of the old kids TV show, Get Your Own Back, presented by the ever smiling Dave Benson Phillips. The final round of the game was a question based round where the contestants mother/teacher or whoever they wanted revenge on was suspended over a tank of gunge. The more questions they got right, the higher the ‘gungee’ was dropped into it from.
I’m sure this format could be quite easily transferred to the church baptismal enviroment.

Perhaps I’ll chat to our minister about it next time they do one.
