Fun Monday
From AOJ‘s blog:
“For today’s Fun Monday, continuing in the spirit of “being interested in people”, I would like to know, or see, what’s on, in or under your bedside table! So open those draws and bare your soul to us! Is there anything special there that has a story or a memory that you can tell us about? Books that you keep there to delve into from time to time? Trinkets that you don’t know where else to put? Let’s see!”
There really isn’t much to my bedside table. There’s a lot of rubbish, bits of paper I’ve never put away etc.
My bedside table was a wedding gift. Part of a set with a wardrobe and a chest of drawers. Since the wedding we’ve had to replace the other parts as we filled them to bursting.
Most of the top surface is taken up by my DAB clock radio. I often don’t sleep too well, so I have my iPod plugged into it and listen to the Goon show or similar. something I’ve heard so often that it’s easy to fall asleep to.
Probably the most interesting thing is my ‘make poverty history’ wristband which Sarah bought me. It was part of the campaign to cancel third world debt that started in 2006. It’s actually the second one of these she’s got me because I was wearing the firat at a festival (the kind where you have to wear a wrist band to get in) and didn’t pay attention when I cut it off at the end. I cut right through both and destroyed the MPH one…!
Leaned against the side of the unit are my puzzle books which I do while Sarah reads before sleepy time.
That’s about it. Now you know how un-interesting my bedside table is!
