edit: I just realised that I didn’t read the whole assignment, I was supposed to say why I blog & why I keep it up.

I blog because I am a creative person. I love writing and photography etc, but am not clever enough (or disciplined) to write a book. Plus no-one would buy it. So I blog instead. I also love to make people laugh, and occasionally I’m successful. I keep it up because it’s a great outlet, and you can share your thoughts with the world. Way better than a diary.

It’s great to look over past blogs remembering what previous parts of my life were like.

    Meridian I know but Sisters? Tell me more. Appreciated your German language story. Recently I was Germany and Austria and some of the Teutonic vocabulary words made me dissolve in juvenile laughter, like “Something, something fahrt” on buses and cars. I later found out the meaning of the word “fahrt” but it just made me laugh at the time.

    Faye: The Seven Sisters is the nick name for the white cliffs that run from Seaford through to Eastbourne.
    There are some great German phrases. Shame my friend can’t remember any!

    Bee: Thanks, they are some of the first I took with my Digital SLR. The Meridian monument is on the cliff top near where I live, it supposedly marks the north-south line of the Greenwich Meridian, although my GPS unit reckons they’re about 100yds out…
    The GC stats are easy, just go to your GC profile, right click the picture and choose ‘copy image address’ or whatever similar choice your browser gives, then paste it in when inserting the image on your own page :)

    Now, that’s a small world ! I am spending each year one week with my friends living in Eastbourne (Langley to be exact !) I know this place very well ! I love this coast it is so beautiful ! I wrote about it on my Countries & Cities blog !
