Another Date
Sarah decided to return the favour tonight & take me out on a date.
We came home a little early from work, fed the cat & then went into Brighton.
We had a nice meal at the Marina, where I finally had the dessert I’ve been wanting to try for years. Each time we go I see the ‘Brownie & Marshmallows with belgian chocolate dip’ and salivate, but fill up too much on the main course to actually order it. Well tonight I did. Sadly it didn’t live up to expectation…
After the food had settled we headed over to the Theatre Royal where Sarah had got us BOGOF tickets to the Blues Brothers Party.
I have a bit of an infatuation with the Blues Bros. About 10 years ago I went to the stage show two years running and had a fabulous time. The second year was their final tour. They announced in Nov 08 that they were doing a one off gig at a venue in Brighton, so I leapt into action to get tickets. Sadly the venue was rubbish and didn’t manage to get me any, despite me mega early enquiries, and so I was really disappointed
When I heard that these other guys were playing I didn’t expect them to live up to the standard set 10 years ago by the first group, but they did. We had a really awesome time.
